Dutch Touch, Inc. installed its first Solar PV residential System 8/8/2011 at our Vista CA location. We purchased the panels, the inverter, the racking system etc and installed the following configuration: It has been operating beautifully since 8/12/11.

The system was successfully commissioned on 8/8/11 and began net metering operation with SDGE on 8/12/11.

The Solar PV marketplace has seen spectacular growth, prices have dramatically decreased. Quality improved, efficiency and durability increased, prices have decreased. Today solar PV customer have a wide range of excellent products, excellent pricing options, a full pallet of financing options.

In 2017 Dutch Touch, Inc. re entered the marketplace and in a very short time frame installed 5 new systems for friends and neighbors ranging from 4.5 kW , 5.9 kW, 6.6 kW, 8.4kW, and 9.1kW.

In 2018 we partnered with Seaside Electric and formed Dutch Touch Solar Electric division CA license C-10 # 1039349

Our objective is to install between 1-2 Solar PV systems per month. We have no interest in building a large Solar PV installation business, but rather to work within a small geographic area namely North County San Diego within a 25 mile circle around our base in Carlsbad 92009.

Our business model is simple, effective and consumer friendly. Here is how it works.

We do not wish to “Sell” anyone on any specific solar panel, or any specific inverter, or any specific storage battery or any specific mounting system etc. There are many excellent people in the business within our target geography, and there is abundant information and consumer guidance available to everyone on the internet that compares technical data, and user data, and manufacturer reputation etc.

So here are the steps we recommend.

1. Do your research; size the system you desire based on your current and future energy needs.
2. Do your comparison shopping. Use the internet to compare.
3. Invite three or four vendors to give you their proposals, and make sure that they detail all the components that they are using to build their system.
4. Choose the one that best meets your criteria.
